NASCAR Vegas Odds: Kyle Busch Looks to Rebound in 2012 Sprint Cup

Kyle Busch finished second in the Sprint Cup Series last season with four visits to Victory Lane and 14 Top-5 results, but that only saw him end up 12th in the driver standings. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver will be looking for a better finish in 2012. Weigh in on the season with Bovada Sportsbook's NASCAR Vegas Odds.

Busch claimed the checkered flag at Bristol (March), Richmond (April), Kentucky (July), and Michigan (August) in 2011, but he was also forced to sit out the AAA Texas 500 in November due to an incident in the Truck Series race earlier on that weekend.

So Busch will be trying to stay out of trouble in 2012 and climb back up the driver standings. He had ended up in eighth place in 2010 with three wins and 10 Top-5 results, and his best finish in the points race came back in 2007 when he was fifth.

To that end, Busch will be looking for a strong performance in the season-opening Daytona 500 this weekend. In that race at Daytona International Speedway last season Busch managed to avoid the wrecks and end up with an eighth-place result.

And Busch got his year off to a good start on Saturday night, winning the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona over second-place Tony Stewart and third-place Marcos Ambrose - that'll have his confidence high heading into this week's events.

On the last update of the Sprint Cup Series futures Vegas odds at Bovada Sportsbook Busch was listed third at 7/1 odds to win the championship this season – behind only Jimmie Johnson (5/1) and Carl Edwards (6/1). Defending champ Stewart sat at 8/1 odds.
